Look at this picture that I took as I was walking down Española Way. (Professional secret: I actually stopped walking to take the picture.)
Doesn’t that balcony look funny to you? How do you get to it? Even if it is a fake balcony for open-air performances of Roméo et Juliette, how do you even get the Juliette up there? (Professional secret: I posted these photos on blogger and then copied them onto here.)
I also saw this on Española Way:
It looks like someone named Gypsy died. Come to think of it, there was usually a group of homeless-looking people hanging out in that alley. I thought this was a nice tribute to Gypsy.
so long, gypsy.
this is a beautiful post, li’l p.
Also very funny a-ha… I actually once seranaded Gypsy from that balcony. I called her Gypsy and stayed up all night singing to her. She wasn’t homeless. She was a bored housewife living across the way. She didn’t seem bored, to everyone else. There were always parties and outings. But I knew she was bored. Then, her husband called the cops on me and the Water Management people told me to get off their work space.
